Dr. Ferguson attended the University of South Dakota Medical School and completed a residency at the Cleveland Clinic Cole Eye Institute. From a young age, he grew up observing his father, a local optometrist, express a unique energy and excitement for improving vision. Prior to medical school, Dr. Ferguson began spending time conducting research with Dr. Thompson and Dr. Berdahl from Vance Thompson Vision, sparking an early interest in clinical research and cementing his desire to become an ophthalmologist at their practice.
Dr. Ferguson enjoys walking and playing with his dog, Kramer. As a sneaker fanatic, he has amassed a large sneaker collection and enjoys reading or watching content centered around sneaker design.
Dr. Sami Rivet is a current optometrist at Vance Thompson Vision in Sioux Falls, SD. Dr. Rivet attended the Illinois College of Optometry where she graduated with the Clinical Excellence Award. She is residency trained with focuses on cornea, refractive surgery, ocular disease, and glaucoma.
