Aimée McBride, OD
About Aimée McBride, OD

Dr. McBride attended Clemson University, where she graduated at the top of her class in Biosystems Engineering. She obtained her optometric education from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry, where she was Valedictorian. Throughout her education, Dr. McBride received specialized training in ocular disease, contact lenses, pediatrics, and refractive and cataract surgery co-management. In addition, she was able to participate in many community service activities, including providing free vision care for low-income patients and traveling to Honduras to provide free eye examinations. Her favorite part about being in eye care is getting to know the people in her community.

Tommy Pinkston, OD
About Tommy Pinkston, OD

Dr. Pinkston is a native of Florida and attended the University of Florida for his undergraduate education. He received his Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

After graduation, he completed a residency in ocular disease and refractive surgery at Woolfson Eye Institute in Atlanta, Georgia, where he co-managed cataract, cornea and refractive surgery patients. Dr. Pinkston relocated to Western North Carolina in 2016. Dr. Pinkston believes the key to great eye care is a continued focus on communication with each individual patient.
