Do your core values drive the decisions you make for your practice? Do your values or your practice mission statement drive your hiring, your marketing, and the way you think about how you operate your business?
They should — but sometimes we're not always aware of how much our values affect everything we do. Recently, CovalentCareers surveyed optometrists about what they thought the most important aspect of an employer's brand was. The options were split into four possibilities:
- Culture
- Ethics
- Leadership
- Philanthropy
When we examined the responses, the majority of ODs had chosen culture — but we have to wonder, how much of a company's culture is determined by its reputation for ethical behavior, leadership opportunities, and community outreach? What is it like to run such a practice, and what is it like to work for one? So we asked Dr. Will Tantum, OD of Blount County Eye Center what it means to build a practice whose core identity is driven by the philanthropic efforts of its doctors.
In this short webinar, we discussed topics like:
- How to identify philanthropic opportunities and grow community programs
- How hiring is different at a values-based practice
- Why identifying your practice values is more important than ever
- And more!
