About Our Practice

Since 1999, we have prided ourselves on providing superior, personal, Full Scope optometric care to O’Fallon and surrounding communities. We are a private practice that is currently staffing 5 technicians who are cross-trained throughout the office plus two additional employees who perform billing and filing duties. We are located on the outskirts of O'Fallon, IL in the middle of a well populated residential area, accompanied by multiple medical offices nearby. Our office was custom built by our current optometrist who took his time hand picking every detail to ensure his patients received a memorable experience. We have over 300 five star reviews that support our goal to make sure each patient receives the best care possible. We are a team who is completely dedicated to our office and our patients!

Optometrist Job Duties & Responsibilities

The optometrist will provide full scope optometric care to patients of all ages. You will foster growth within the practice by adapting to each patient’s unique needs and multi-tasking while maintaining a high level of care. You will be expected to:

  • Provide comprehensive routine and medical eye examinations
  • Discuss patient medical history and recommend any necessary treatment or testing
  • Determine and recommend solutions to patients’ visual wants, needs, and challenges
  • Perform high quality refractions and contact lens fittings
  • Educate patients and make recommendations on eyeglass lens options
  • Order testing, analyze results, and communicate findings to patient
  • Provide pre- and post-operative care to comanaged surgical patients
  • Communicate recommendations with opticians and staff
  • Network with physicians and within the community
  • Provide leadership to staff while performing day-to-day operations

Optometrist Job Requirements & Qualifications

  • Doctor of Optometry Degree (O.D.) from accredited school of optometry
  • Valid Illinois Optometric License / Controlled Substance / DEA
  • Ability to communicate with a wide range of patient personalities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A strong sense of workplace professionalism and personal ethics
  • Customer-service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills

Compensation and Benefits
